Editors

Alice Horning, Professor emerita, Oakland University, Managing editor. Alice Horning is professor emerita of Writing and Rhetoric/Linguistics at Oakland University. Her research focuses on the intersection of reading and writing, concentrating on students’ reading difficulties and how to address them in writing courses and across the disciplines. She is the Managing Editor for the Michigan Academician and editor of the Studies in Composition and Rhetoric book series for Peter Lang Publishing.

David Dornbos, Professor, Hope College, Associate editor, Sciences. David L. Dornbos, Jr., Ph.D. earned a B.S. in Biology from Calvin University, a M.S. in Agronomy from The Ohio State University, and a Ph.D. in Agronomy from Iowa State University.  David worked for Syngenta Seeds, Inc. for 15-years as a Product Development agronomist, the Director of Product Development in the U.S., and as the Global Head of Seed Production Research.  David has been a Professor of Biology at Calvin University and an Assoc. Professor at the Iowa State University Graduate School for about 20 years.

Megan McCullen, Museum Director, Wayne State University, Associate editor, Social and Behavioral Sciences. Megan M. McCullen, Ph.D. earned an AB in Anthropology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MA and Ph.D. in Anthropology from Michigan State University. Megan has spent over two decades working in museums and higher education. Her research focuses on archaeology and ethnohistory of Great Lakes cultures and communities, particularly the impact of migration on identity. She is currently Associate Director of the Gordon L. Grosscup Museum of Anthropology and Director of the Planetarium at Wayne State University.
